We spent Thanksgiving weekend in Lubbock, TX, with Janessa's parents, Joanna, Jesse, Jenn, Joseph, Jeff and Grandma Lou. Cooper had an especially great time with Joseph. Those two could chase each other around the house, laughing all the time, for hours on end. We ate a lot of great food, and enjoyed nice weather and good company. Everything we needed for a Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great time camping this past weekend. We went with our friends, the Sturdevants up to Inks Lake near Marble Falls, TX. Our campsite was nested right by an inlet of the lake and the weather was beautiful. We had a good time enjoying the scenery, making camp fires, playing games, resting in the hammock, swimming in the lake, seeing the ducks and deer, listening to the big bullfrog, and even petting a real, live, fuzzy, green caterpillar. Cooper had a great time. Sleeping was a little bit of an issue at night, since Cooper is used to rolling and tossing and turning every which way in his very own bed... this posed a little bit of a difficulty for Mom and Dad. But all in all we had a great time and hope to go again soon. Click on the picture to the left to see more pictures from our trip!

Today we got the chance to attend the San Antonio Temple. It is simply beautiful. The stained glass is amazing.

Before we went in, we took a few pictures with Cooper. As always, he likes to ham it up in front of the camera. We went with our friends the Sturdevants, and did a baby swap. We watched Taya while they went in, then they watched Cooper for us. Having two kids on hand definitely kept us busy. I guess it is good preparation for what is ahead for us in just a few months!

Back in July, we found out that Janessa is pregnant and due March 20! Hooray! Just a day after we found out, Eric had a dream that he was holding a baby girl in his arms. We've been anticipating our sonogram day (Halloween) and just two days before, Eric had yet another dream that we had a baby girl. Well, luckily our little one was "photogenic" on sonogram day and lo and behold - Daddy was right! We're having a little girl. We're very excited and looking forward to her arrival.

In August, we flew to San Diego with our good friends, Jenn and Stephen Sturdevant. We had a fun-filled 10 day vacation and loved every minute of it. We went to the beach a few times, visited the San Diego Zoo, the beautiful temple, and the Aquarium. We also had a wonderful time relaxing in the comfort of the "Days Inn," Jenn's parents' spacious home. We played hard and had a lot of fun. It was hard to narrow down the pictures to put on the site. (We had almost 1500 pictures total). But take a look at a brief version of the fun we had in San Diego.
