For spring break, we headed to Henderson, NV to spend a week with my parents. We had a lot of fun while we were there, and Grandpa and Grandma enjoyed being able to see Cooper. Jonathan, Michelle and Kaitlyn even came to visit for a few days.

We spent a lot of time in the pool in the backyard, which Cooper really enjoyed. Another activity we did to escape the heat was to take a drive up to Mt. Charleston. We went on a hike up to a waterfall. It was quite cool (there was still snow on the ground!). The picture to the left is of Janessa and Cooper at the top of the hike, with a beautiful view in the background.

I was fiddling around with GIMP and managed to create a pretty cool effect with one of Cooper's pictures. I thought it looked kind of neat, so I decided to put it up here for anyone interested to see. Click on the thumbnail image if you want to see a larger version.

Cooper got his first taste of "solid" food back in November, and has decided that if he loved eating before, he REALLY loves eating now. He enjoys everything from peas and carrots to pears and banannas. He already eyes our "big people" food like he's going to gobble it up when we're not looking, but he'll have to wait until he's got a few teeth.
